- You need 1 of cinnamon stick.
- Prepare 1 of star anise.
- Prepare 1 pinch of ground black pepper.
- It's 2 of cardamom pods.
- Prepare 1 of bay leaf.
- You need 1/2 tsp of sumach.
- It's 500 grams of tomato juice.
- It's 1 tsp of sugar.
- It's 1 cup of water.
- Prepare 300 grams of frozen peas.

- Heat some oil in a pot over medium high heat. Add the cinnamon, star anise, black pepper, crushed cardamom pods, bay leaf and sumach. Stir for about a minute.
- Then, add tomato juice, sugar and water. Bring mixture to a boil and add thawed peas and rinsed quinoa.
